A: We use two methods, for small jobs we use a construction calculator to determine the hypotenuse of a triangle to form a 90* angle. On a larger foundation or a sloping grade project, we use our land serveying equipment called a total station. We input the data (dimensions) of the new work and then measure it against the existing building. The total station will provide square corners to the existing building or any degree of angle walls.
